StreamForge Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the StreamForge Android application (“StreamForge,” “the App”) handles information. StreamForge is an offline media toolkit: you paste a URL you already have access to, analyze available formats, choose a quality, and download media to your device gallery for offline playback.
Short summary. Core use does not require a StreamForge cloud account. Optional third-party site logins keep session cookies on your device only; the App does not upload those cookies to StreamForge developer servers. Downloads and related library metadata stay on your device. The developer does not invent or claim a separate company registration, SIN, postal address, or GDPR Data Protection Officer in this policy.
1. Who we are
StreamForge is developed by kingkazuma (Google Play developer contact used for this product: [email protected]).
No separate legal-entity name, business address, tax ID, or privacy officer appointment is stated here because none has been provided for this listing. Contact the email above for privacy questions about StreamForge.
2. What the App does (context for privacy)
- Paste or share a media / stream URL into the App
- Analyze available formats and choose video quality or audio-only output when available
- Download single items or selected playlist / series items
- Track progress in a local Downloads library; save finished files to gallery folders (default often Movies/StreamForge)
- Optional background downloads with settings such as Wi-Fi-only and concurrency limits
- Optional sign-in to certain third-party sites inside the App so you can reach content you already can access while signed in
StreamForge is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to any third-party media platform, social network, or streaming service.
3. Information the App processes
3.1 Processed on your device (not sent to StreamForge servers by the App)
- URLs and media identifiers you provide — used locally to analyze formats and start downloads.
- Download history / library metadata — titles, progress, paths, and related status stored on device for the Downloads UI.
- App settings — preferences such as folder choices, Wi-Fi-only, concurrency, and similar options stored on device.
- Downloaded media files — saved to your device storage / gallery as you choose.
- Optional third-party session cookies / login state — if you sign in to a third-party site inside the App, session data remains on your device for your convenience. Per the store listing and disclaimer: cookies are not uploaded to StreamForge servers by the App itself. You are responsible for protecting your device and credentials.
3.2 Network contacts with third parties you choose
When you ask the App to analyze or download a URL, the App must contact the host (or related CDNs) for that URL. Those third parties receive whatever is necessary for the request (for example the URL path, standard HTTP headers, and any cookies you chose to keep for that site). That traffic is between your device and the sites you selected—not a StreamForge cloud account backend described in the listing materials.
Uncertainty flag: Play Console “Data safety” wording treats some off-device transmissions carefully. Based on available listing materials, the developer does not operate a StreamForge server that receives your cookies or download library. If you later add analytics, crash reporting, ads, or a developer API, update this policy and Data safety answers before shipping.
3.3 What we do not require / do not operate for core use
- No StreamForge cloud account is required for core paste / analyze / download use.
- No developer-operated StreamForge login for the App’s core features is described in existing materials.
- No advertising SDK was identified in the materials reviewed for this policy draft; if ads are added later, disclose them.
4. Permissions (Android)
Depending on Android version and build, the App may request permissions such as Internet / network state (to fetch media you request), notifications (download progress), foreground services (ongoing downloads), storage or media access (saving files), and—on builds that include recording features—microphone and/or media projection related permissions for local capture. Those capabilities, when used, process data on your device for the feature you start; they are not described in listing materials as being uploaded to StreamForge developer servers.
Exact permission set can differ between debug/local package
(com.streamvault.downloader) and the Play package
(com.kingkazuma.streamforge). Verify the live Play build’s
declared permissions in Play Console before finalizing Data safety forms.
5. Data sharing
- Developer / StreamForge servers: Listing materials state that optional site cookies are not uploaded to StreamForge servers by the App itself. No other developer-side personal-data pipeline is documented in the materials used for this policy.
- Third-party sites you contact: Content hosts and related services receive requests you initiate by pasting URLs or signing in.
- Google Play: Google may process install, update, and store-account data under Google’s own policies when you obtain the App from Play.
- Legal: If required by law, the developer may respond to lawful requests using information actually in the developer’s possession (for example email you send to the contact address).
6. Children
StreamForge is a general-purpose media download tool. It is not directed at children. Recommended Play audience targeting for similar tools is often 13+ or, for a more conservative path given user-pasted URLs that could include mature content, 18+. The publisher may choose either path in Play Console; this policy does not claim the App is designed for children under 13.
7. Data retention and deletion
On-device data (downloads, library entries, settings, optional cookies) remains until you delete the files, clear App data, remove site sessions in-App (if offered), or uninstall the App. Because core use does not create a StreamForge cloud account, there is typically no developer-side account profile to delete. To remove data you emailed to the contact address, email [email protected] and describe what you sent.
8. Security
You are responsible for protecting your device, screen lock, and any third-party credentials you enter. Session cookies stay on-device when you use optional logins; treat a lost or unlocked device as a risk to those sessions.
9. International users
The App may be used in multiple regions. This policy does not claim a designated GDPR Data Protection Officer, EU representative, or similar formal appointment, because none has been established in the materials provided. If you are in a region with specific privacy rights, contact [email protected] and we will respond as reasonably practicable for an indie Android product that primarily processes data on-device.
10. Disclaimer alignment (not a warranty)
StreamForge is provided AS IS and AS AVAILABLE, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. You alone are responsible for the URLs and content you paste, analyze, download, queue, or store; for having all rights, licenses, and permissions needed; and for complying with applicable law and third-party terms of service. Do not use StreamForge to obtain content you do not have the right to download or keep. See the in-listing disclaimer for full warranty and liability terms.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated when the App’s behavior or contact details change. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised. Material changes should also be reflected in Play Console Data safety answers and, where required, in-app notice.
